Administrative correspondence, 1964-1989.

The ABC Board regulates the production, transportation, distribution, drinking, and sale of alcoholic beverages in Alabama (Ala. Code 28-3-43 [1975]). This series consists of correspondence between the ABC Board and other state agencies or private organizations regarding a wide range of subjects important to the administration and operation of the ABC Board. Some of the topics include budget, contracts, store openings and closings, employee's insurance and retirement plans, the sunset committee, and policies and procedures. Other topics include the ABC banking account, exemption from liquor taxes, and other matters. A few of the major correspondents were: Henry B. Gray III, Guy Hunt, Tandy D. Little, Jr., and Jinnie Lazenby. There are also news releases, resumes, and warranties present.
